Abstract

This theme emerged from in-depth discussions within the research groups GPEaDTEC (UEM) and GEPPETE (UNINTER/UFPR). In these groups, we recognize that digital technologies are being integrated into both distance and in-person education. When used effectively and strategically, these technologies pave the way for new and innovative forms of teaching, learning, and interaction. However, the implementation of these technologies brings significant challenges. It's crucial to overcome obstacles such as ensuring adequate infrastructure, providing continuous teacher training, and maintaining excellent educational quality. Despite these challenges, the prospects for using digital technologies in education are extremely promising. The theme of this dossier is of extreme relevance today, especially considering the current educational landscape. It directly addresses the understanding and enhancement of educational processes in the digital age, highlighting both the challenges and opportunities of this constant reconfiguration in cyberculture.
