Abstract

The article engages with the myth of Prometheus, exploring the power of knowledge and its consequences. It presents the human duality between enthusiasm and insecurity in the face of technological innovations. To this end, it discusses the challenges of education about Artificial Intelligence (AI), considering how teachers can develop their pedagogical proposals in the face of AI and how it contributes to the production of knowledge. Subsequently, it lists the most extensively investigated AI resources in education, debating the ethical issues associated with their use. The research, of a bibliographic and exploratory nature, adopts a qualitative approach, intertwining theoretical foundations on AI with the dynamics of teaching work and student performance, particularly about pedagogical strategies. It concludes that it is necessary for teachers to promote discussions on ethical foundations and to be familiar with the laws and standards related to AI. It highlights that strengthening teacher training and encouraging active participation in debates with students about AI are crucial for the meaningful and responsible use of this technology in educational practices.
